The Stretch Zone Method® addresses flexibility from a neurological perspective. This is achieved by dealing with the muscle’s nervous tension (“tonus”) to reach an optimal active range of motion. The goal is not to make a person more “flexible” or “elastic,” but rather enable you to move more functionally by re-establishing a more ideal resting muscle tone. By re-educating the associated nerve-muscle reflex, the Stretch Zone Method® leads to movement becoming easier and more efficient.

Rather than creating soreness by pulling on our limbs to extremes, the Stretch Zone Method® works through the nervous system to achieve lasting gains in flexibility and range of motion. The method rests on the notion that changing and re-educating our muscle’s nervous energy is a major factor in unleashing our body’s intended function. This nervous energy, known as the stretch reflex, is our body’s automatic defense against the dangers of over-stretching. Any movement that goes too fast or too far, or is held for too long, will cause your body to resist with the stretch reflex. Once the reflex is activated, your body has effectively said “no more” and resists the stretch. Any further attempt at stretching becomes counter productive and may even cause long term damage.

What Our Customers Have To Say

With my sessions at the Stretch Zone of North Myrtle beach I suffer absolutely no sciatic nerve pain on both sides of my body. I had previously made several trips to doctors for shots which were just a band aid for the actual issue. Thanks to all of you at the Stretch Zone I am able to live a pain free life.

    - Howard

I have been to other stretch facilities, but Stretch Zone is by far the best because of the utilization
    of the belts.

    - Terry

I really feel like I am making nice progress after just a few sessions. Everyone is so friendly that works there, they truly care!

    - Barb

I’ve gone to chiropractors for years, sometimes three times a week. It made me feel better, but the results did not last as long as I’m getting from the Stretch Zone. I would highly recommend that everyone give it a try.

    - Pat

I had been taking Ibuprofen on a daily basis and after 3 visits I was able to sleep without taking it. I would readily tell anyone it has helped me more than massage and chiropractic combined.

    - Gwen

Stretch Zone has literally changed my life. I’ve had a problem with my hip for a year and was unable to do any exercises, including just going for a walk. I’ve had some treatments, but nothing had made it completely go away. I have been going to the Stretch Zone for two months now and I am finally able to walk without pain in my hip. I highly recommend them!

    - Sande

I like how attentive my stretch practitioner is on listening to my do’s and don’ts about my stretch needs for each session I come in for. I leave each session well stretched and feeling better overall.

    - Sharon

Tre has been very good explaining what he’s getting ready to do and what the goal is, all while ensuring he isn’t hurting me. He is very patient, easy to talk to, and good at his job.

    - Eileen

Everyone is so friendly and courteous. Tay is awesome! I always feel so much better after my session. I have been telling my friends about Stretch Zone.
