Tony Zaccario of Stretch Zone Elected to International Franchise Association Board of Directors

Zaccario will help lead the world’s oldest and largest franchise association, bringing a wealth of experience in franchising and dedicated commitment to the betterment of the business model 

 

WASHINGTON, Oct. 24, 2024 – The International Franchise Association (IFA) today announced Tony Zaccario of Stretch Zone was appointed to serve on its Board of Directors. Zaccario of Fort Lauderdale, who joins along with fifteen other new directors, will start his term at the 2025 IFA Annual Convention in February, representing the franchising sector’s oldest and largest global trade association. 

 

“IFA’s volunteer leadership is integral in driving the association and our mission forward at a pivotal time for franchising,” said Matt Haller, IFA President and CEO. Tony Zaccario’s expertise and experience in franchising will help take the association to new levels so we can further support our members and the opportunities they create in local communities. These new directors bring unique contributions and perspectives, and we look forward to the leadership they will provide to the entire franchise community and the millions of people it serves in the years ahead.” 

 

Serving as President and CEO since 2019, Tony has led Stretch Zone on its incredible growth trajectory. Currently opening an average 2-3 studios per week, with 370 open locations and zero closure to date, Stretch Zone remains at the top of the professional stretching vertical. 

 

Zaccario mentions, “It’s an honor to be appointed to the Board of the IFA. I’m excited to be supporting the organization, helping to ensure that franchising is done the right way.” He goes onto say, “The IFA is an organization that’s been crucial and instrumental to the growth of Stretch Zone, and I look forward to giving back to an organization that has done so much for me in my journey in franchising.” 

 

 

Tony has hands on experience in almost every aspect of the business. Starting with the brand in its infancy, it was his vision to bring Stretch Zone to the masses through franchising and is the driving force behind where the brand is today. Under his tenure, Stretch Zone quickly established itself as a brand that members love, one that makes a difference in people’s lives daily, and one that franchisees want to be a part of. 

 

The 2025 IFA Board of Directors is comprised of franchisor, franchisee, and supplier members, with a diverse representation of industries and background, who provide critical guidance to the IFA on the association’s key initiatives.

The new directors will assume their positions in February 2025 and will serve an initial term of three years.
